The registration for Mochalunt 2025 is now open!
(Mochalunt is an acronym in Esperanto for MOnda CHampionado de Abstraktaj LUdoj por Naciaj Teamoj, meaning World Championship of Abstract Games for National Teams). We are looking forward to an exciting new edition!
Main points:
- The tournament is (for now) entirely online.
- In the first three editions there were over 200 participants of all ages, in over 30 teams from 24 countries and 4 continents.
- The prizes offered by our sponsors are of course abstract games for the winning team plus for the best players in the different categories (men, women, aliagender, junior, adult, senior, absolute).
- There are 8 rounds, each round lasts about 30 days (january-june, september-november)
- The tournament is light and flexible: you decide which rounds you want to play and you schedule personally with your opponent when you are going to play the 4 games of the round; it should take roughly no more than one evening per month.
- Each team must have at least 4 players, ideally 6 or more.
- The spirit of the tournament is to learn new games and meet new people online from all over the world. Nobody is strong in all games. Most players are experienced in just a few of them and are beginners in most other games, so they have to learn the new games like everyone else!
- You can register even if you don't have a team yet! We will find a team for you to join given your geographical-cultural preferences.
- The rules are going to be fairly similar to those of the 2024 edition and will be finalized and shared on this page before the end of the year.
- Players should have a good internet connection, be responsive and motivated to learn many world strategy games and players. There are no age restrictions.
